Matthew 5:44 “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
Matthew 5:45 “that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
God can bless you and your enemies too!
Have you ever found yourself wanting to withhold information that could be helpful to someone else? Maybe you just didn’t mention the news because you didn’t have much time. Maybe you were upset with them and felt that they didn’t deserve to hear what great news you held. Did you just not tell them because you’re tired of telling them wonderful things and they don’t ever share anything with you?
Think about those times when you want to tell someone something, and you just can’t wait! You pick up that phone and dial and if they don’t answer you either call them again or text them asking them to call you back as soon as they get your message, and you wait with such expectation. If this is a very good friend, or family member you’ll go to the extent to show up at their home, unannounced, yep, because you have great news!
Okay, okay, I’m guilty of this too, but because I have the Holy Spirit and I eventually have my conviction, I am led to share and guess what, I’m always happy I do and I praise God each time because He gets the glory!
So my friend, what do you do when the Holy Spirit tugs at your heart to share with an enemy? Do you listen? Oftentimes we just don’t want to, and yes I’ve had to check my heart over and over in certain seasons. I’ll say it again, I’ve had to force myself to go back and share some good things. I can’t explain how I am so motivated by the blessings that come with this. My friend we will also receive gifts in heaven, for doing the things God calls us to do, call me selfish but I am looking forward to those rewards!
Yes, I also have a heart for my enemies. Yes I have enemies. An enemy isn’t always someone who hurts you, but someone who rejects Jesus. If they rejected Jesus, you should already know, they will reject you. What happens when people hurt? They want to hurt others, because they are hurting. So think about this, If you find yourself hurting, be careful and take it to God immediately so that you do not grow bitter and begin hurting others. When we know what to do and don’t do the thing, it is sin. Whatever God’s will is, will be done anyway, so be a part of it 🥰
Psalm 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
The LORD will give grace and glory;
No good thing will He withhold
From those who walk uprightly.
Right now if you hear His soft still voice, I just want to encourage you to go to God and repent. Ask Him for another opportunity to do the thing He is calling you to do. You will be so blessed. Yes you will. What God has for you, no one can take away, no one can shut that door. Yep that means what God has for someone else, no matter how much you try and stop it, God still has a plan for that other person too. He is so gracious. He will bless even the ones we think don’t deserve it. He’s in control and He is on the throne and guess what, if you want to be part of a greater kingdom, start doing those little things He is calling you to do, so you can be trusted with more. I am so glad that you are reading this because maybe you are the one that everyone keeps overlooking, either accidentally or purposefully, but God, He has a plan! You will see, a perfect plan. Meanwhile, be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and His leading, paying attention and don’t grow weary in doing good. Continue to share the good news, your gifts are multiplying in heaven!
My friend, remember that one day, we will have a crown and we will get to lay it at the precious feet of our Savior! We deserve nothing, but Jesus deserves all things! He wants to use you to be part of such a great plan, don’t miss out! Let this motivate you to give glory due His name!
Psalm 29:2 – Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name;
Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
In Christ’s Love,
Mary
